Who the heck?
Welcome
to my site! I’m Phil Graham and
have been professionally designing all sorts of stuff forever.
My background is in marketing for the Music Industry - dealing
with musicians, record companies and magazines. In recent years
my work has expanded to include conferences, merchandise design,
photo correction, web hosting, web design and animation as well
as music and web video editing. Clients have included banks,
cosmetics, tv/radio, internet, sports, charity, medical, legal
and many other areas where accuracy and quality are paramount.
My graphics have appeared on everything imaginable: buses,
advertising billboards, lamp post banners, newspapers, TV,
escalators, royal events and even the Goodyear Airship high
over Miami Beach.
Sometimes I do contractual work within a client’s team
but mostly it’s from the homely confines of my own studios.
That’s where the creative juices flow best - especially
when speed, accuracy and economy are of the essence.
I’ve been known to create a custom website from scratch
in a single day and I’m on call worldwide 24/7 – so
although I’m based just outside Philadelphia an email
or call is as welcome from Singapore or London as it is from
Los Angeles.

What's
this all about?
This site is a snapshot of what I’ve
been up to so it’s very much a moveable feast.
No two days are the same
here as one morning I might be writing sleevenotes for a
music release and in the afternoon optimising artwork for
a t-shirt. Variety really is the spice of
life here - every day brings a new request for
innovation and ingenuity. Don’t think that if you
don’t
see what you want here that it’s not what I do – chances
are I’ve done something similar at some time or another
(or I know someone who can) so I hope I can entice you to
get in touch. I haven’t sent anyone to the moon yet
but having already had some of Richard Branson’s companies
as clients... hey, you never know!
You won’t find me Tweeting, Blogging or Google Plussing much myself because
I‘m constantly making sure my clients’ own social network accounts
stay up-to-date. But you can find me on Facebook and of course this website should
give you a flavor of what I‘m about.
The links above give a broad example of what I enjoy doing most but feel free
to get in touch if you have a special project you’d like me to consider.
The more fiddly and detailed the work might be, the more I relish it!

Wh'appening?
1st Feb,
2012: This
is already another great year of album re-issues. A new sleeve
(and notes) on classic material somehow makes an old classic
look and sound brand-spanking new. Just had confirmation
of another series for a UK based client. The oldies really
are the goodies!
7th
Feb, 2012: Did we really take down the Christmas
decorations a month ago already? Now I'm getting enquiries
about 2012 Christmas card designs and Easter Cards have been
flying for a few weeks now.
14th Feb, 2012: While
older bands are now mostly selling digital downloads via
the websites I’ve built them it’s somehow gratifying
to see a few vinyl versions occasionally being bought by
collectors out there, reminding me it’s still worth
inserting Amazon and Ebay links for the original formats.
21st Feb, 2012: Photo
manipulation and colorization really is one of the most fun
things to do. Dark or faded faces become real people and
you suddenly realise that an old brooch on a shabby cardigan
is still being worn by someone in the family today. Mostly
however I’m
adding that extra 'oomph' to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary...
and that’s
good fun too!
